The RV show is being advertised for Fort Smith, Arkansas this weekend. I hope they have a hybrid so we can look at one up close and personal. I don t think I am really ready to buy anything though.
Update...They had one hybrid and three popups. Lots of 200,000 dollar rigs though!
popupcopHaving one in Charlotte, NC Jan 31 thru Feb 2 at what used to be the Independence Arena, not sure what it is called now. $6 for Adults, $1 for kids to get in.
Hope to go with my sister and her husband, want to gaze at the hybrids.
popupcopI went to the RV show in the Dulles Expo Center in Northern Virginia yesterday, the 23rd, and was disappointed. One dealer had the Coleman popups. No other popups. A dealer had one Aliner. Another had the line of TrailManors. Maybe two hybrids. Many full-sized bus-like homes.
Apparently it is not profitable for the dealers to show the cheaper trailers.
Show goes through tomorrow.
popupcopWe have a RV/Boat show this weekend here in Lake Charles, La. We are going to go.
popupcopThere will be a Super RV show in Dallas the end of February. There should be quite a few hybrids there as this is the show that first got us looking into them. Seems like a lot of interest in hybrids and very few dealers wanting to carry more than 1 or 2 models and the smallest ones at that. Their viewpoint in not carrying them is that consumers can get a fully hardside TT for the same or less $. The way I see it is with a hybrid you don t take up living space with beds and you get a 30 trailer while only pulling 23 . I just love having the open ends like my popup also. It has just become too much of a PITA for 2 day trips like we have to take a lot to get to go camping.
popupcopThis weekend (Jan 23 to 26) was the Boat show in Columbia, SC. I can t believe that they could sell many boats this year though. The nearest (popular) lake was drained down to allow the dam to be reinforced and will be down for the next 18 months or longer. The weather this weekend was also horrific for a boat show. It snowed on Thursday and we had a low of 10 degrees on Friday morning. The rest of the weekend wasn t much warmer.
I hope the weather is better for the RV show, which is the weekend of Valentine s Day.

I have had some e-mail correspondence with the Starcraft Dealer, Manns RV, that will be exhibiting. They have some of the new Centennial models on order and hope to take delivery in time for the show. Same dealer will be at Springfiled show but does not plan to take any Centennial models to that show.
That particular weekend will be a very busy one for us. Don t know if we will have time to get up there or not. If I do, I ll be sure and report back.

popupcopRamblingWreck, we will be going to the one in Worcester (hopefully) also! Very interested in what Manns RV will have. We bought our pop-up from them, and they were very nice - even worked out a payment plan with us! I think we are in serious need of an upgrade! [:)]
Acts 2:38 girlSaturday is going to be hectic for us. If we make it to the show it will have to be on Sunday. Perhaps we will cross trails while there. Thanks for the honest evaluation of Manns!

popupcopLast week I went to the Va Beach RV show, next week I ll head for Richmond for the bigger of the 2 shows...
popupcopI went to the Chicagoland RV show held at the Rosemont Convention Center near O hare Airport on Wed. It is a very nice show with units of all size, shapes, and colors. There was a very nice selection of pop ups from every company. I really liked the new Coleman roof style. I just hope I will never have to get one installed on my trailer.[;)] I also looked at a couple of triple slide out buses. One could be had for the low, low price of $225,000. No thanks, you would not be able to wake up to the sounds of birds singing if you slept in those big rigs. I purchased my unit at this show 5 yrs. ago. They have a great selection and some good show prices.
pinhi18I think that the AZ RV show is this weekend. I m not sure.

SheBantamWent to the RV show in Charlotte today, and had a great time. Saw the Monterey there, only took about 2 minutes for it to set up. First we got to see it come down, very impressive. Was not real impressed with the wardrobe, it was nice but I would just prefer extra hanging accesseries from the roof (you know the ones on the ceiling, can t remember what they are called). Do not like the fact that the refrigerator is on the other end from the stove and sink. Would also prefer the table to be portable. Mostly, my sister and I were impressed and would consider buying one.
Looked at the hybrids they had too. The Bantam that I thought I would love was there, but it turned out not to be something I liked. Saw a Caravan and liked it alot more than I ever thought I would. Really liked the one that had the three bunks in the back (since we have three kids, just makes since).
Signed up for everything that was to win camping time, campers, etc. In otherwords, we had a great time[:)]
popupcopWe had a boat and RV show here this weekend. 2 popups 3 hybrids. And as been mentioned a whole bunch of 100-200 k rigs. Had a good time just walking, but was hoping for some more popups.
