Title: Really cool camping web site
Post by: pjtjmn on Jun 11, 2006, 07:43 PM
Hi all  :W

I've asked several questions on this board, and everyone's been so helpful, that I hope it's my turn to help you out --

Here's a site I just discovered that I'd like to share:

http://www.epgsoft.com/CampgroundMap/

It's a combo google map/rv review/campground finder that I think is the coolest thing!

You type in the location that you are interested in, the map will bring up indicators for the campgrounds in the area.  Click on the indicators, and it will give you links for the cg's website, RV Review site, RV Net, and a google search....

It's just awesome...

Enjoy....

Hmmm... I just tried it, (We're going to the Hershey CG with my son's Cub Scout group next month.)

I typed in hershey pa, and I got back the little red marker for their CG.  Then I moved around with the up, down, right, and left arrows, and I found a few others in the area.

Anyone else had any luck?

I know there's a place to click if you notice a missing CG...  Don't know how complete this site is, I just know I was having fun checking it out..!

(Okay, I'm still a newbie!)

It worked for me.  I really enjoyed it!  Lots of fun finding campgrounds.  The ones I checked out also had links to the campground web sites so lot of info.
Thanks
Sherry

I'm sorry so many of you are having problems... It's cool when it works  :)

Yes, we are camping at Highmeadows in Hershey with the cub scouts..
Hmmm... why do you ask?  I did read about it, and requested a site away from the railroad....  Is there anything else I should know?

Works great for me, Thanks for the link.

I did notice that some of local Campgrounds were not very 'exactly' located. One was marked at wrong end of lake it is on. Will experiment with sending correction in later, got to go make some campin' money today.

Really cool web site. The RV reviews offers the best information for the sites I went to.

It's a great park, we've been there several times and like it very much.  We particularly appreciate the free busses to the Hershey attractions.  They will warn you of the active railroad tracks when making reservations, and they do me active.  Lots of trains.  If any of your group are train lovers, they will not be disappointed.  I was more aware of the trains than my DW was.  Getting a site away from the tracks is a good idea.
