Since we just bought a used Starcraft pup, I'm wanting to pull the wheels and do the bearing repack.
However, though I've done this sort of thin in the past with older cars, I don't currently have any jacks besides what comes with our cars, and the cranks aren't long enough to get out from under the unit.
Manual said to only jack the axle, and if I do that, I can't reach the jack easily at all, at least not until it's lifted, which, well, you see my challenge!
That said, what do people do to jack and pull the wheels? Any alternative to a heavy, pricey hydraulic auto jack?
Thanks guys, for all I've learned in the past week before picking up this thing!
The one time I lifted the camper I used a large floor jack (SUV/NASCAR size) and jack stands. I put the jack under the frame and the jack stand under the axle.
I have used my truck jack, but this winter, I used my ATV jack. Much easier to position and jack up.
