I had the pleasure of spending part of the day yesterday with the GeneF's, as well as a friend of theirs. We met for lunch (took them to one of my favorite non-chain restaurants) and then spent a couple hours playing tourist at the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was great to see them again; I only wish we had been camping with them instead. They are enjoying the road trip thus far; and plan on heading to the Smokies next and into NC. Gene said something about maybe camping at Little River Village again. Wonder if they will find it a bit more quiet than the last time they were there. :p ;)
Jan ~ I am green with envy! I sure wish the GeneF's would make it back to Minnesota. They are good people and lots of fun, too. Glad you got to spend some time with them.
I CAMPED with them this summer. I hadn't camped with them for 2 years. It sure was nice to spend some time with them again. :)
I camped with them, also, at the same rally with tlhdoc. They were truly wonderful people, I'm glad we had the opportunity to enjoy them both. I hope to have the opportunity again in the future.
Great you got to spend time with Gene and Terry. It seemed strange not vacationing or camping with them this year.
Gee Marcy and Jan I haven't camped with you in along time either. We need to get together next year. Kelly I get to see you once in a while, but at some point we really need to camp together so that you can be in my...oh forget I typed that.:D
We have missed camping with them too. And we haven't actually seen them since "The Rally" in 2002 at Townsend. We have stayed in fairly close contact, however, through email, AOL IM, etc.
We hope to get to hook up with them sometime again. Maybe when Mary is a nurse? :D

Minnesota would just about Guarantee PJay and I would be there...we haven't been to a rally since the first one in 2002 in Townsend, TN.
On a side note, we met with Spirit Deer and Mr. Spirit Deer on Saturday in Ely, MN for lunch. More on that later.
