Title: Camping proverbs
Post by: AustinBoston on Oct 06, 2006, 08:20 AM
Take any proverb, idiom, or common expression, and replace a key noun or verb with the word "camp," "camped," or "pop-up."  A few examples:

Never camp in traffic.

If you camp with scissors, you could hurt yourself.

He can't pop-up and chew gum at the same time.

They don't need to make sense, but it's more interesting if they do, especially if the meaning completely changes.

A few more:

Never put off 'till tomorrow what you can pop-up today.

A camp in time saves nine.

Out of camp, out of mind.

Cleanliness is next to camping.

How about famous cliches?

"Use the pop-up, Luke!"

"May the Pop-Up be with you!"

"Read my pop-up...no new camping!" (probably my least favorite so far...of course new camping is good)

Well that depends. My grandmother doesn't have a pop-up, so that would be "to Grandmother's yard". But Eiley's grandmother does have a pop-up, so that would work. Except november in Minnesota is way too cold to have an infant in a pop-up!
