My PU is asking for a new fresh water hose (hum, what can I do with the old one?), a water filter (helps keep sediment out of the water heater) and a big jug of blue toilet chemical.
So what does your trailer want?:)
My trailer just wants to go camping but it's been so good this year that I got it a new storage box:

I hope that it gets here in time :D
My camper told me it wants a 9' (5wt) IM-6 graphite fly rod, just to use from the canoe on those downriver runs.
(How could I possibly deny the sweet little Starcraft?)

Dale, aka FLY, I never knew that popups lliked to fish.... Sounds a little "fishy" to me...
Our Niagara is getting a new set of Duro tires which were installed Friday..IT is presently popped up along side my workshop for some maintenance and a new mod which is a dinette table stableizer. It anchors the table to the side of the dinette and folds down when not in use...

Can you show us pics of it installed when you get it? Where are you going to put your LPG tank? If you put it inside the box, aren't you worried about everything smelling like LPG like someone on this forum mentioned having as an issue?
I second the request for pics. Since it's only 14" tall, there's no way the tanks are going to fit in there, so I'm also curious where the tanks will go.
As for gifts for the pup, she's getting a stereo and some indoor/outdoor speakers. Also miscelaneous parts for installing a volt meter. I was also thinking about getting a water meter, but not sure.

I installed a couple of water meters for the fresh water tanks. I like mine and it is an easy job to install one.:)
Our PU is getting bike racks and everything else we need to carry our bikes installed :-()
Every fashionable camper needs a new set of tacky lights. I'm hoping to find some with airplanes on it!;)

I will post pics.
If I put the LP tank inside (unlikely), I will cut the appropriate size hole in the bottom of the box (about 6" in diameter) for the tank bottom to go through. That will also take care of venting. Propane is heavier than air and will flow out of the bottom of the box.
I am the one that said that everything in the box will smell like propane (rotten eggs). I had that scenario on my boat. However, I only plan on putting hard items in the box.
Having said all that, I will probably mount the propane tank forward of the box and put my 2 batteries inside the box.
I plan to put a couple of layers of fiberglass on the inside of the box for strength. A couple layers of 12 oz woven roving will make that box strong as steel but yet light and corrosion free. I will also mount it on a piece of 1/4" plywood that I will also cover with fiberglass cloth for weather protection and strength. I know that those boxes tend to be flimsy and loose their shape over time.
My PU told me that since it's New it doesn't need anything because it has too much already, but requested we take it out more often for some exercise, because she's getting tired of sitting in the garage all the time. Who am I to argue!!!! :sombraro:
An XM radio boom box to go with our Inno XM/MP3 player:D :-()

Batteries also need to be vented. IIRC, they vent hydrogen gas when charging. Hydrogen is lighter than air, so a vent/hole in the bottom might not do the trick.

Batteries gas while charging especially if they are over-charged (boiling). It's just a matter of remembering to leave the lid open. That'll be pretty easy because my charger will be in the box :D .
BTW, I don't charge my batteries while towing.
That's a very good point though. If anyone is considering doing something like this, it must be taken very seriously. Charging batteries in a sealed space could be
very dangerous.
All my TT wants for Christmas is a Slideout Awning..and to be used as much as possible....
Thats it..
Merry Christmas to ya'll
randy
My Starcraft wants to go to Pitte Jean state park for Chirstmas. We always brick up the chimmeny to keep that fat man out.
My Trailer told me that it would really love to get a Brand NEW
Memory Foam Mattress (1 1/2" thick for $68.00 @ Wally World)
so that it can take care of me better!!!
What a Trailer that I have:)
Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Yeas to all!
My camper would like a Wisper King pump to replace the louder one in there now. Now if everyone would just quit outbidding me on Ebay it would have one.
My PU just wants to go camping!! Its been way too long since it's been out and like it or not, Mom may just have to go with us this spring! LOL
Our little camper wants a Camp Kitchen (from LL Bean) so that I stop going in and out of the dinette seat, lol. It also wants A/C so that she can make us comfy next summer during our vacation to Pigeon Forge (that is an early spring project, so she will just have to wait).

What sort of water meter did you install, and where did you get it? We just picked up our first Pop Up, a 2007 Niagara (it was a repo), and I'm not sure how to even check the water level since we still don't have the manuals, and have not used it yet. I'm thinking a meter would be nice.
Thanks,
Vic
TXPOPPER
Keep track of how much gray water you dump for a few trips. You will think of a lot of things you need by then.
WELCOME...
TXPopper,
Here (//%22http://www.rvelectronics.com.au/page.asp?parentid=3&parent2id=9%22) is the site for that water level indicator. Unfortunately, this seems to be the only one available and they do not have a U.S. distributor. I'll be contacting them shortly to get one of these, but crawling under the pup is probably a Spring mod. A 2007 Repo??? Now that was quick.
I forgot to add that my pup is getting a Plug Guard to protect the connector from the elements.

Welcome to PUT!
This is the company that sold my meter, although my meter is oval not square.
http://www.rvelectronics.com.au/page.asp?parentid=3&parent2id=67 The 11 inch or less meter is the one that I have. One hole in the tank and a hole in the floor to run the wires up into a cabinet were all it took to install it.
Good luck on the project.:)
Thanks for the link to the water meter, I still need to crawl underneath and look how everything is situated. We are off to Honduras for Scuba diving trip next week, but if the weather stays as warm as it has been lately, we want to get out and try the camper early in 2007.
Best wishes to all in the New Year and this holiday season. :frosty:

We are staying at the Reef House Resort on Roatan. We have never been there, but the reviews seemed pretty good, small and a bit out of the way, it is run by some folks from Canada. Hopefully it won't rain the entire week we are there...
Ours just wants more time, and $$, to go camping!
