Just wondering if you think the moderators are doing their jobs?
We seem to have been hit by a lot of spam and inappropriate postings that have nothing to do with camping lately.
As a moderator I get messages about inappropriate posts sent to my yahoo email address. I check my yahoo account at least 10 times a day. When I see an email from the boards about inappropriate posts, I see it as a challenge to beat the other moderators to deal with it.
I thought I was kicking butt for awhile but the other moderators seem to have jumped up and beat me to a few, maybe they see it as a challenge too? I have dumped a few before anybody else has even seen them.
Do you think the moderators are responding quick enough to your reports of inappropriate posts?
I certanly think they have. There was one set where it seemed the guy was posting the same spam every two minutes. He'd post them, I'd report them, and someone would delete them. Never got more than one or two (five minutes at the most) ahead.
I just wish the spammers would tire of it and go away.

I think that the moderators are doing a fine job.
I recently sent a PM to ventrue21(Administrator) and asked him if there was any way that a certain poster could be stopped from posting. I certainly didn't mean to infer that the moderators weren't doing their jobs. It did seem that an awful lot of that individual's posts were getting through and staying on the forum for a while but maybe there were a lot more than what I saw.
I think that someone may have sent a nasty PM to the individual in question. It's stuff like that that could cause an individual to go on a mission to irritate the entire forum.
I, personally, think that a policy of ignoring these types of posts is best.

I think they are doing a great job! It is hard to keep up with those spammers. They are so irritating.
Just keep reporting them. An email immediately comes to me and the others, and deleting the post is easy. No need to send a nasty email to the poster, as that only makes it worse, I'm sure.

I have to say that this is the absolute best message board that I have been on concerning the jobs that the moderators are doing!

You people do a great job. I just reported one (it's 6:55 cst) so I can't wait to see how long it lasts on the board now. lol
