Post by: iresq on Jan 15, 2007, 03:53 PM
My local Lowes currently has all portable heaters on sale (propane and electric) 1/2 off.  No mention on line.

Mr Buddys are going for $38.95  at Lowes here in NC. That's the lowest price I've ever seen for them.......

Ya know, Bill, got me to thinking (which sometimes can be dangerous!) - I bought my Mr.Buddy Heater back in 2000, but I just might hot foot it down to Lowe's and buy another for that price. Kind of an affordable back-up unit.

I picked one up today in Charlotte...they had both sizes at 50% off.    Great timing now that the cold weather has finally arrived.

Thanks to Fly, there is a big "Tough Buddy" (aka Mr. Big Buddy) sitting in my garage. This thing is heavy when loaded with two full cylinders and four "D" batteries but it does the job nicely. No question in my mind that either this bigger one or the smaller one will warm up even the largest pop-up.

Skip ~ let's see if we can talk the OldGoat into doing a get-together, just as soon as there's the slightist warming trend, and all meet up at Badin Lake, Uwharrie Nat'l Forest. There's a great NFS C/G there (Arrowwood) that even has electrical hook-ups on some of their sites (rare for Nat'l Forest C/G's).  Give us a chance to try out the new Mr.Buddy heaters.

I'll even bring some fishing gear and a boat!

Whatdayathink?
