Title: Rally records

I was just wondering what the long and short trip drive records to a rally might be.  I would suspect I might have the short drive record at about 20 minutes drive time to Hickory Hill in Bath, NY.  Would there be anyone who was closer?  What about the longest drive?  Are there any other "biggest", "smallest" type rally records that might be of interest?

Decided to do this in another thread rather than tacking onto and making the other thread more confusing.

I had just over 1150 miles to the 2002 rally in Tennessee

I was going to say, it was a long drive for us from Mass. to Townsend in 2002, but I knew someone drove from Maine.  But you beat me to it.  :)

Dave,
I had you in mind when I posted that message. I remember your long twenty minute trek to Hickory Hill. Did you stop on the way? You might win the vote for the shortest.
I'm looking forward to sitting around the campfire with you and your family at this years rally.
Maybe I'll get together with Gene and put in a vote for New Hampshire for next years rally. Possibly, AB will make the trip back East and break the distance  record. :D

I can't remember now if we stopped along the way or not.  We may have stopped to pick up supplies.  We did have 2 tow vehicles and 2 trailers there.  We made several trips home during the rally.  IIRC, one of those trips was on my bicycle.

Looking to renew friendships with you and others, and also meet some new people.  Looks like we'll have some others at the Cape May rally that didn't make the Bath rally that I haven't met yet.

Would there be any contenders for Rally Records other than distance?  Number of flat tires?  Number of broken stabilizers?

How about number of times in one week that you set up/take down the pu?  (or aliner  ;) ).  I think Marcy wins this one.

I think I might have the record for the longest caravan of campers to the Rally. We had 6 camper/tow vehicles in my group.

We spent the most at the silent auction at the 2002 Townsend, TN rally.  IIRC, $75 in successful bids.

I bought an inflatable porta-potty at the 2002 Tenn Rally auction. Tried to use it for tubing but it kept "dumping" me.

That might be the most unique item but I figured it was worth the cause and "donated" $20 for it.

The big questions was "Who is going to blow it up AFTER the first time it is used?"

In case you need to know. It came with a long straw like tube for that purpose.
