Some put rolled up carpet, fishing poles, or other long objects in the tubes.:)

I have a pipe on both ends of my trailer. Front holds front bunk support pole, rear in back. I just used hose clamps to hold them on.

I used big zip ties to keep the pvc pipe attached to the bumper and kept awning poles and bed supports in it.

Hmmmm,  I might use one for a rolled up carpet - to keep some of the dirt out of the camper. My awning has posts that retract into it, and my bed supports are kept under the matresses for the respective pull out bunk.   I would use the big zip ties like they use in HVAC ducting.

up in the front, on the frame, just behind the propane i need to come up with some kind of cage to hold firewood. I pick up wood all the time lying on the curb for lawn refuse recycle day to burn in the back yard, and hate to have to pay for it at campsites.
