Title: tongue and groove flooring
Post by: shinobi on Mar 31, 2007, 09:25 PM
Has anyone put down tongue and groove flooring into their pop-up? I got some flooring for cheap at home depot and thought it would look good, but I'm worried about weight :(
Will it be too heavy or bottom out if I put the flooring in my trailer?
(It's a 1979 Viking Saga)

It will add weight to your camper.  Surfcal added it to his old PU.  I think it will look nice. You can weigh the flooring and see how much it will add.  Then weigh your camper when loaded for a trip and see where you are with the weight limitation of your trailer.:)

We were given some for the old Starcraft project popup (http://www.larryandhollycrockett.com/restoration.html). However, we decided not to use it, because although the frame is in good shape, it has a lot of flex to it. Went with vinyl flooring instead, for which I don't have pictures posted yet.
