I am going to look at a used 1996 Coachman Clipper M-1080-CLIPPER for $3500.
AC, Gas Heat, running water, inside/outside stove, awning, refrigeratior
Are these campers good
reliable?
Does that price seem reasonable for year/make/model?
Anything else that I should look for or be weary of?

Sounds high to me, but I am not an expert on price. Have you tried NADA?

Make sure all of these things actually work - ask for a demo - before making a final decision.

Generally, yes, but you want to check for signs of floor rot, and being a 1996, this was the worst year for the dreaded
ROOF SAG. If it has a one-piece ABS roof, please let us know and we can give you specific instructions as to what to look for. A new roof (the only reliable solution with roof sag) costs a fortune (one person paid over $900 just in shipping costs).

Any evidence of roof sag should be an automatic deal breaker. It's just not worth it on a camper that old.

Thanks a lot for the feed back - good info...
I have done some research on the ABS roof because I had no idea what was being said. Everything I can find states the ABS roof issue was specifically with Coleman campers - is this true or is the Coachman in that year and beyond questionable as well?
I have asked the seller for specifics on the camper because I am in "research" mode. I did look at the NADA proce for this year and model and depending upon the options installed it can be from 2800-3400. I have asked for detailed listing of options and std equip to get a better idea of actual value for today.
My offer (depending upon review of camper) will be fair and within the ranges of the nada price. I appreciate to push towards NADA because I am very new at this.
