Post by: munchkin on May 01, 2007, 08:39 PM
Hi all!! Need advice-big surprise. Anyway, bought the 1982 Viking fixer-upper. The dinette table legs are gone. Where can I find replacements? Thanks!

Thanks. I'll check rv outlets. I would prefer the pedastal leg, but the table has holes for the folding style. Looks like someone made the conversion in the thread you forwarded. Am I right?

yes, i made the conversion, the original table in mine had been dropped on the corner and was a mess - I didn't like the leg set-up as I felt it was a lot of clutter to try to get around the legs to si down at the table - SO, I decided to go with the single leg and am very pleased wiht the results  - it is much easier getting in and out of the dinette area now

So can I use the table top I have now or is the pedastal base actually cut into the table?

Thanks!!

You can use the table you have now, you will need to get the lush mount for the floor, the post and the mount for the bottom of your table.
Follow the instructions I posted for mounting in the floor, I also added some liuid nails o the holes I drilled in the table bottm prior to putting th screws in.

Thanks, Dyer's has the leg and bases. Seems like this will be easier to navigate than the folding legs. Again, thanks for the info!
