Title: Port-a-potti
Post by: bpike on May 17, 2007, 07:20 AM
I need some advice.
I want to buy a port-a-potti and don't want to put it in my pup. I'd like to see some pipctures of those who have them stored outside. What can I put it in that would give some privacy?

We bought a two room shower/changing room tentlet from Kmart for $39 last weekend to put the toilet in. I also plan on using it for a changing room when my daughter comes for our visitation this summer.

Take a look at my Webshots photo album (in my signiture line). Go to the Pt Mugu page and look at pictures 8 & 9. They will show our set-up.

Here's a link to #9:

We just set the porta-potti on the floor in the back corner.

We "hot knifed" a slit in the side of the tent so that you can reah through and get the shower faucet too. It works really well. We use a large plastic tray on the floor to catch 90% of the shower water.

Here's a pic of our porta potti/shower tent...normally we keep it on the left side of the trailer but I think I had it on the right side so the kids could use it to shower (our outside shower is on the slideout on our trailer)

An outside shower tent is used very often.  You can put it in your AAR if you have one, or under the bunkend if you have a skirt around it (not good if you are tall).:)
