Title: Flag for the pop-up
Post by: Brewster_440 on May 20, 2007, 12:17 PM
where is a good place to hang a flag from on a pop-up?

I think maybe something smaller than a 3 x 5 foot flag.
I could use a pole, or maybe a couple of hooks from the awning and
let it hang. Anyone see someone with a good spot? I don't want to
spend lots of money, but I want the flag with us camping...

Thanks, Bruce

I also would like to do this.  I thought if you did some sort of support on the roof it would be cool to raise the flag when you raised the roof.

We fly our Flag from one of the awning poles. The Flag is on a 5' pole and I lash that to one of the awning poles. It puts the Flag about 11' up and you can see it from a good distance. It is good to hear that people want to display the Flag. Last Memorial Day, we were at a campground and besides us, thre were only 3 other groups flying the Flag( the cg was full too!). We put ours up every trip.
Enjoy the weekend!

I have two small flags (about 6" by 10") that I have lashed to a couple of tent stakes. Each place we camp, I drive those tent stakes into the ground on the right and left sides of our driveway or entry to the campsite. They aren't big, but they get the message across. I may do a few more of them this year and use quantity to enhance the message.

I have a 3 X 5 flag that I hang on the slide out bunk end with a couple of small spring clamps> Works real well.
