Title: Differences between Taos and Tucson?
Post by: xjcrawler on Jun 04, 2007, 06:06 PM
These two look alike but must be some difference if the manufacture makes them. Do you know? I'm new to the popup world, so any help would be great. I'm looking for a popup that is no longer than 102 inches outside box length.

                         Thanks,
                                   Bill

I don't know the differences (I know the Taos itself changed every few years).  However, I couldn't find either on Fleetwood's site.  It looks like they've both been replaced with the three models in the Element series.

I have a '97 Coleman Taos and it is an 8' box with two equal 48" bunks.  I was able to find some used Tucson's on the internet and they appear also to be 8' boxes with the same floorplan but with unequal bunk end sizes.

I agree with AB that these campers were probably replaced with the Fleetwood Element series.  Other manufacturers also make 8' PUPs.
