My husband and I purchased a '96 Viking pop-up for $1650. and have not been able to use it. Initially the crank system worked ok. My husband put it up and down a few times in the driveway to clean it, etc. Then one evening it wouldn't crank down. So my husband had to force it down by deactivating the cable system. We took it to a repair shop and they had it for 5 weeks. During that time they rewired the cable system but they said that it needs a couple of additional parts - springs in the front. We took it to another shop and they said they are too busy.
Now we are stuck with a pop-up that won't pop-up...
We haven't been able to use it once. I really regret that we didn't stick to tent camping. But we have almost $2000. into a pop-up camper and I want to be able to use it.
ANY IDEAS please help. The local Viking dealer said that he won't work on them anymore because SO many of them have these types of problems. I don't know what to do...
