Title: hand pump/faucet
Post by: munchkin on Jun 20, 2007, 09:35 PM
I'm still a newbie to this--1st pop-up and 1st season--my disclaimer for another stupid question--the handle to our water hand pump/faucet broke off. We plan to always have city water hook-ups and I'm even thinking about removing the fresh water hold tank under the bench for extra storage. This being said, my question is do we still need a handpump faucet to control the city supply or will just a faucet work? If just a faucet will work, do we need to make any mods to accommodate? Thanks!

My 96' coleman laredo has a utility sink faucet which is hooked up to the connection for city water only. I put a "Y" connector in under the faucet so you get cold city water from both handles. I don't have a pump/tank or hot water heater.

As far a modifing to fit: My counter top was replaced before I bought it, so the utility sink faucet fits fine. You could buy one and test fit one, if it don't fit take it back.
I can e-mail you pics if you want to see what I have.

Just a faucet will work but I highly recommend getting a pressure regulator. You can get them at Walmart for under $10. :D
