Title: best reclining camp chair
Post by: jim2312 on Jun 21, 2007, 06:58 PM
It is great to be back camping and to this club, it has been 6 years or so.  hello Chasd60 and Firefytr-emt!

I am looking for recomendations on the best recliner for camping.

I have looked at the typical sites and stores but would like the input from the pros.

All will be appreciated!!

"Lafuma" XL in mesh. Cabelas has them now along with there knock off model.
You can find cheaper ones but nothing compares to the real thing.Trust me, spend the few extra dollars and just relax!

Welcome back to PUT!

I agree that the Lafuma is the way to go, but I like the padded chair better than the mesh.:)

I am going with La Fuma's too. The only problem is getting out of them, once you get into them!!

I bought an ALPS Mountaineering Lay-Z Lounger Camping Chair from Sportsman's Warehouse.  It is identical to the Cabela's Chaise Lounger.  It cost $99.  It is very well made with maple arm rests and padded seating.  There are cheap knock-offs all over the place including Camping World.  I sat in the La Fuma at Cabela's and preferred Cabela's Chaise Lounger.  I think Alps re-designed their chair though.  The picture on their website does not match the reclining mechanism on the chair I have.  Compare the Cabela's picture to the Alps picture.

Acres of Wildlife Jim......
Welcome back!!!
Firefyter_Emt (Lee   http://www.yankeetoys.org/lee/camper.htm (//%22http://www.yankeetoys.org/lee/camper.htm%22) ) hasn't been here for a while but I am still hanging in there.
My popup has grown as you can see by my sig but not much else has changed.
Not sure which is the best recliner but I like one that is easy to get out of too.
We have the cheapo chairs with the adjustable footrests thet WalMart and Dick's Sporting Goods sells for $14 or so.

I find these cheap enough to replace and oh so comfortable..zzzz....zzz...zzzzz..zzz
