Title: COUNTDOWN to Tater!
Post by: brainpause on Jul 17, 2007, 09:48 PM
If Tater hasn't arrived by Tuesday, July 24th, we are inducing labor that Tuesday morning!

So....7 more days!

Just take her out for a nice long romp through the woods on the quad.  That'll do the trick.  Inducing Labor MX style!

I have probably heard that piece of advice more than any other. Seems to be a common theme.

Let me bask in my ignorance for a moment, but I hope night shift (7p-7a) and a bullpuck shift (3am to about 3 or 4pm), and fire call (who can predict your sleep?) has me at least a little prepared on how to deal with sleep issues. I dealt with all that for years.

It also may help that I have gone part time at my job, and have shed ALL of my supervisor responsibilities (WOO HOO!!)

It all depends on how grouchy you are at being woken up....my DS learned early on that Mom is just not any fun and games at 2:00 in the morning and he started sleeping through the night at 5 days old! (not that 2 teaspoons of rice cereal didn't help) hehehe....he's 27 now and is just like me.....don't wake the boy up when he's sleeping!  :>

Of course...all the walking, 7 mile bike rides, running up and down stairs, and his dad yelling fire at my stomach wasn't getting him out!  He was three weeks late and hasn't been on time for anything since!

Parenthood...there's nothing in the world like it!!!! It's the best ever..... You're in for the most rewarding years of your lives.   :>

Sorry for the late reply. We have been home about an hour. We had to stay longer than expected. Jessie is fine, and Holly is doing well, but had a fever after an urgent C-Section. Jessie's head got stuck at 9.5cm dilation, so off we went for C-section.

I will post pictures soon. I was dying to post it on here. Thanks for thinking of us!

Congratulations Larry and Holly!!

Poor Holly, to go through all the pain of labor, and then to have to go through a c-section is no fun. Margaret had the same happen with one of ours.
Give her our best, and thanks for posting, we were all a little concerned over here, but happy to hear all is well.

Hey Larry and Holly.

Congratulations on the new camper.  Wonderful times ahead of you.

May your daughter give you as much joy and happiness as our dd has given us. Yup, I am a proud dad of a great daughter and I don't mind bragging about her as I am sure you will be about yours.

Now, start that college fund. :)

Done. I am using Upromise on our credit cards and grocery cards. Started it in January, though I am not pleased with its progress just yet. However, it has saved some money for college that otherwise wouldn't have been saved.
