We had a guy locally who got down inside the pit toilets at a local beach/recreation area......and was found there when witnesses called the Sheriff.  They had a fire truck come out and hose him down before they could take him away in one of their prowlers.

In some places, his behavior isn't even illegal.  There was a woman here in Minnesota who discovered a man was looking in a window whil she was preparing a shower...he was arrested, but released without charges when nobody could find a specific law that he had broken.  The situation was rectified very quickly by the legislature, but there was nothing they could do about this guy.

That's absolutely disgusting in so many ways.

Really crappy if you ask me... :D

On a more serious note, sometimes people who do these things are as addicted to what they do as an alcoholic is to the bottle.  Like any addiction, they will sink to any level to try to get the "fix."  Never heard of an alcoholic in a vault toilet, though...  :eyecrazy:

Kind of makes one wonder just how prevalent this type of behavior might be. A few weeks ago while researching Tar Hollow State Park here in Ohio I came across this news article .

A few years ago a state employee who did maintenance work on the showers in campgrounds was caught peeping on women. He had drilled a hole so he could look into the shower. A woman noticed someone looking at her and went and got her husband. He found the perve in the maintenance area of the showers.

When at Blackwoods in Acadia National Park recently, I noticed the bathrooms in the park had a bank of windows that extended such that the furthermost window was actually looking into the last stall in the bathroom.  It was hard to believe they built them this way.  They did not use any privacy material on the window.  One could look directly into the stall from the outside.  It appeared that all bathrooms at Blackwoods used the same floorplan.  I had been concerned with the structure of the buildings the whole time I was there.  Needless to say, we used the camper facilities while there.

but, shredder, did you read the comments after the article?  the one by risky bidness who reckons that the guys could get into deep doo-doo for tying him up?

Another good reason to camp with your pop-up in the back country away from all this stuff.
