Title: Battery Question
Post by: mrp116 on Oct 24, 2007, 05:21 PM
Two weeks ago I purchased a used 2003 Coleman Sedona (checked roof very carefully, and everything seems fine).  The previous owners used it sparingly and never used a battery.  I would like to take advantage of that option, but i don't see where the wiring is to connect a battery.  I see the option of switching to 12v, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to connect one.

On the tongue of the trailer where the wires for your vehicle plug come out of the frame, there should be a black and a white wire that end in a small white plastic clip.  These are your battery wires.  Go to a Fleetwood folding camper dealer and buy the matching wire harness.  The wire harness consist of two wires (one black and one white), the plastic connector, a self-reseting circuit breaker (on the positive wire) and a ring on each end to attach to the battery terminals.  Connect the wire harness to the battery terminals and then plug the two halves of the connectors together.  :)
