Title: Newbie and proud of it :D
Post by: 6fordaroad on Nov 08, 2007, 11:52 AM
Howdy everyone!  We just bought our 08 Fleetwood Avalon and love it!  I just found this group the other day and have been reading MANY of the interesting posts here.

We are a fairly large brood of 7.  We have 4 children, aged 14, 9, 8 and 6 and our wonderful Black Lab Onyx.  Hubby does HVAC, so summer camping will unfortunately be without him, or he will be coming out later.

I can't wait to hopefully get to go camping with some of you!

We've already had our maiden voyage down to Benson, at the KOA and had a wonderful time.  We are Good Sam members as well as KOA, and Camping World. I am not completely new to the world of RV's, but I am new to owning my own!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

OH and by the way, My name is Chrys, and Hubby is Ken.

Welcome aboard and happy camping with the Avalon.  Very nice rig.

If you look on the rally forum, you will see that one is being talked about next July.  You would be welcome.

Rally forum is down near the bottom of the home page.

The Avalon is one Big Beautifull PUP.

Have a great Winter camping and maybe we'll run into each other

We bought a 20 inch Emerson lcd tv with built in DVD player.  Works out great. We are saving up now to buy a VuCube.  We already have a Directv subscription for the house, so adding it isn't going to be an issue.

Welcome to the group. You will get a lot of useful information from the nice folks on here. There are a lot of great places to camp here in AZ. The AZ state parks are great. There may be a couple of us heading to Roper Lake SP out by Safford Thanksgiving weekend.

Thanksgiving weekend we are are taking the PU to Texas at my mom's house.  Quasi dry camp.. lol, we'll have W&E and possible dump site. My parents are state certified waste water treatment plant, so not sure if we'll be able to dump there or not, but oh well, wont be ion the PU too much anyway :D
