Title: Campgrounds Atlantic City NJ
Post by: Lifeangel1 on Feb 13, 2008, 06:37 AM
Anyone have any suggestions for a nice campground near Atlantic city, NJ?
I used to live in South Jersey so I'm familiar with the area. I just didn't pay attention to the campgrounds while I was there. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

How far outside AC do you feel like going?

I know of a few, but not sure how far outside AC you are willing to go...The farther you go, the nicer they are...all still within 30 mins of AC I would say.

Let me know and I can get some names for you...

30 minutes or so is good. That would make a good base camp for site-seeing. BTW, my ex was a manager trainee in the Marlton Kmart. We really liked that area.

We stayed here 2 summers ago and really liked it. Clean bathrooms, flat sites, convenient location for AC, Cape May and beachs.

We'll probably go there at least once this season.

We stayed at the this campground.  http://www.blueberryhillrvpark.com/

Although it says RV park, it is not a big parking lot.  They actually have sites in the shade under trees.  Its about 20 minutes outside of Atlantic City.

About 15 years ago, we used to camp at a place called the Whipporwhill outside Ocean City (close enough to AC).  Was very nice at the time, not sure what it's like now but maybe worth investigating?

We used to stay at Atlantic City North Campground (It used to be a KOA). It is actually in Tuckerton about 20 min from AC. They had a shuttlebus that went into AC on Fri. and Sat evenings which was very convenient. The Bathrooms are big and the campstore is well stocked.
I don't know the phone number offhand but I believe they are listed in Woodall's CG Directory.
