Ok, I've flushed out the water system, put the water filter back in, filled the water tanks, filled the propane tanks, greased the hubs, changed oil in the generator, filled it with gas, put the awning back on, aired up the tires, resupplied the ussual stuff, What did I forget?? Shredder

I live near Oscoda MI, so I camp around here and in the Pigeon River State Forest, of course the UP, and I fly fish/camp on the Manistee and AuSable Rivers.....Shredder

You're in prime camping territory. One of our favorite spots, nope make it our fav... in the lower is in the Pigeon River, deep in the middle of noplace.....Town Corner.

I agree, a very isolated but nice spot, unless the bugs are out. I have backpacked the high country trail, for or five times, and have deer hunted there, and fished countless times. Another favorite spot is the Pine Grove SFC. It's on the Pigeon River, and the High Country Trail, but it is at the end of a 5 or 6 mile two track and does not get much pressure.........shredder

Thanks Mark, that is just what I'm looking for things I forgot. I have electric brakes, and will have to look into what I should be doing with them. The camper and brakes do not have a lot of miles on them, but is a 2005 model, so 3 yr old now........Shredder

As a retirement hobby I make homemade beer and wine. I don't drink much beer anymore, but have over 400 bottles of wine.
Lets grill some steaks over the campfire and I'll open a nice cabernet, or would you prefer a syrah or maybe a super tuscan? ..........Shredder

I would stick with a nice cabernet from the Alexander Valley.

OK, we'll have to meet up in the woods some day. Not only do you have good taste in spots to camp, but wine too!
Either the Cab or Syrah will work . If they don't we can toss in the Tuscan too :! I'll bring the rabbit ears (can't camp without that).

While there scoot over to Vanderbilt and hit the Double E buffalo ranch for some of the best tenderloin in the world. Not much is better than that over an open fire.

Rabbit ears? you mean the bottle opener? Don't let me touch um, I keep breaking them, I now camp with a waiter model. Back up is a swiss army knife.
Yep Pine Grove is small, I'd say 6 sites is about right. If you catch it right in Sept. the elk are bugling, the coyotes are howling, it's like heaven. We have no need to go buy buffalo, a friend of ours raises them along with scottish highlander cattle. Our larders are full.
I'm off in the morning for 6 days on the manistee river for trout fishing, it's supposed to rain 4 out of the 6, oh well. Thank God for the camper & the wine.........shredder
