Title: Fleetwood E2 drain hoses
Post by: shanks on May 07, 2008, 06:19 AM
I recently purchase my first pup and am looking forward to breaking it in over Memorial Day weekend. I was getting it all set up last weekend and need to figure out the drain for grey water. It is not a standard garden hose size. What size is it and where can I find a hose?

Thanks in advance!

You should have a plastic envelope somewhere in your PUP with an 'adaptor' - if not, you might contact your Fleetwood dealership and ask for an adaptor.   Basically it's a plastic screw on thing that you screw onto your greywater drain line, and you can screw a garden hose onto it.

Thanks! I have gone through the whole thing and I do not have the adaptor. I will contact the dealer to get one.

Shanks,  This is what the adapter looks like (http://he-ruide.smugmug.com/gallery/4384216_SXg26#257456221_FjgxH) .  Since you have both a shower and sink you will actually need two adapters, plus hoses and some sort of gray water container.

Hope this helps.

You can get adapters in a number of sizes that will thread directly on to the grey water connection from your local Home Depot/Lowes/hardware store.

I got an adapter that allows me to use a standard sump pump hose rather than a garden hose.  Avoids the slow drain/venting problems that can arise with a garden hose.

I searched all over RV shops for sewer drain kits that would fit that inch and a half pipe until I noticed that it is the same size plumbing that attaches to my house sinks.  I'm sure some nice person on this board may have helped me along in that realization.  The hardware store will have everything you need.

Duckv is correct that the drain on the E2 are the same as the 1 1/2 inch home drain fittings (http://he-ruide.smugmug.com/gallery/3479440_PEk2x#195821701_dBBKj).  In addtion you can make what every type adapter you need with these plumbing fittings (http://he-ruide.smugmug.com/gallery/4384216_SXg26#257434594_vJHb7).
