Title: Thinking of returning and have questions
Post by: DrJ on May 16, 2008, 06:58 AM
I used to have a 1994-ish Coleman Arcadia before being lured to the dark side
( 24 ft. hard-side TT but no slides). I am thinking of coming back to the pup  for more room and better towing gas mileage and have a few questions that the dealer probably would not answer. I am thinking about the Fleetwood Williamsburg or the Fleetwood Utah with CP and any opinions on either/both would be much appreciated. My second question has to do with the sink and/or shower in these units with the swing level galley. My old Arcadia had a sink and shower but no drain vent on either, so they would not drain very well if at all.  I made a vent for each out of PVC and that worked. I was wondering if sink/shower draining is still a problem on  the units with the swing level galley or have they figured out a way to vent them?  Thanks in advance. Jim

DrJ, Nothing has changed with the swing level galleys  I think the issue of drainage is only an issue if you are draining with garden hoses.  If you use short 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch hose with no "J" traps drainage is not a problem.

Ruide,  Thanks for the feedback. I would imagine it would be difficult for Fleetwood to engineer an internal drain vent on a swing level galley. I know the high wall versions do have a vent. Also, I really liked your "Mods and pictures" page. I will be going back there to check it out some more real soon. Thanks again. Jim

Jim,  You are welcome and I'm glad that that my photogallery might be helpful.

Take care.
