I think the concept is kind of cool. Besides its more of a Pop Up then a Hybrid really. (Definitely more than a Toy ho)
Well, it technically does indeed pop up.
We considered one of those back in 2004. They are advertised as being very light weight. For their size they are light weight, being made from sandwiched foam panels. Kinda like the roof of a softsided PopUp, only all over! ;)
They don't mention the cost in their advertising until you visit the dealership. Some folks balk at the price of the larger soft-sided PopUps these days, saying that you can easily purchase a TT or Hybrid for roughly the same amount of living space. Well, even the smallest brand new Trailmanor easily out prices any softsided PopUp by far and makes that argument even harder.

I've got to agree, Toni and I looked at them and that was the only draw back :yikes:
I have a 74 Apache that pops up and has no canvas and whats more has an Aluminum box, no wood framing to mildew or rot :p
They are very nice campers as far as I know. I certainly can't affoard one. Also, they advertise as being easily towable by SUVs, minivans, etc. Most of their GVWR are quite heavy. Be careful before buying!

Trailmanors certainly pop-up. I nearly bought one, but decided on an '08 Fleetwood Avalon instead. I like views, and the window area of Trailmanor models is frankly limited. No side slideout on Trailmanors, either.
Trailmanors have a reputation for integrity, and may be a good choice for those who find no joy sleeping under canvas.
