Title: Fleetwood Bayside Gray water adapter
Post by: Bee60 on Jul 31, 2008, 05:22 PM
My friend just picked up a real nice 2007 Fleetwood Bayside last week. I'm having a problem figuring out how to hook up the gray water to a typical hose to drain the water in the ground when at a full hook up. It looks like there should be some sort of adapter there. The exterior threads measure 1 7/8" o.d.
this is too bid for a regular hose end to hook up to. Does any one know what I can use to hook my hose up with. I feel to think that the last owner forgot to leave an adapter for this connection. Or maybe I'm wrong. Can anyone cue me in with some info. Thanks! :U

Bee,  This is the adapter (http://he-ruide.smugmug.com/gallery/4384216_SXg26#257455912_9W4Uk) you need.  You should be able to get it from a Fleetwood dealer.  On the other hand you can get the parts  (http://he-ruide.smugmug.com/gallery/4384216_SXg26#257434594_vJHb7) from the plumbing section of a hardware store and make your own.

Hope this helps.

I tried clicking on the link to see the adapter but it will not connect nor will the link for the parts. Can you try again. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the quick response.

If you want to make your own a 1 1/2" female threaded PVC joint will work.  Fashion the rest the way you want or you can follow the directions here and adapt it to your needs

good luck

Bee,  I'm sorry you could  not connect but there was a point during the day when Smugmug must have been done.  I checked it and it is working again.

Anyway here is the comercial adapter.
