I was just wondering----would BOUNCE fabric softner sheets rolled around the stabilizer jacks  with a wire tie or ribbon or string to hold it on  work????

I've been fortunate this year - no ant problems in the PUP.  Did  notice a lot of ants around the campfire ring (someone probably spilled food) a few weeks ago.  I scrub the picnic table and benches with Chlorox when we arrive, and rinse, and will spray insecticide under the table, so haven't seen them.  We use a Thermocell when sitting outside if it's buggy - and it does a good job.

We are.  We apparently picked up some at a campground in VA in June.  They have hitchiked home with us.  We can't seem to find where they are hiding, but they seem to find the food well enough when we are camping!

We found several in the PUP last week while getting ready to camp this weekend. DW put some pieces of paper with Terro on the floor and have not seen the first ant since.

I haven't had any problems. I spray Raid around the stabilizers once a week and it seems to work fine.

We have had problems for the first time this year.  When backing in the trailer I saw ant trails so I made sure DH sprayed ant spray around each tire, tongue wheel and stabilizer jacks.

Saw a couple of ants one afternoon and by the time we came back from the evening camp fire, around 12:30, we got stuck spending the next hour or so cleaning out the ants.

After searching around he trailer several times I finally found where they were coming in.  They were crawling up the electrical cord. I had not even thought of the cords & hoses.  Found out in the morning that at least 2 others in our group had problems with ants as well.

One of them even commented not to lean anything against the trailer, chairs, brooms, etc.  And later after we checked all of that out, I was looking at the awning, thinking, up the awning poles.

So many places, and ants are diligent they don't quit once they find a way.

We've had a few, LARGE carpenter ants.  Have no idea where we picked them up.  Put 4 ant traps in various locations in the camper.  Didn't see a single one during our Labor Day trip.
