Good luck with it. The water in the Gulf is awful warm right now. It doesn't look good.

I hate to say it but I hope that it gives Cuba a direct hit and takes a lot of power out of it. It's not that I wish any harm on the poor people of Cuba but the fact is, they are better equipped to handle these things then we are. The mountains of Cuba can do a lot toward taking the organization out of that thing.
Title: Concern for All in the Path of Ike
Post by: JAL&JKL on Sep 10, 2008, 10:27 PM
Wherever Ike hits it will be devastating. Our church sent a load of supplies to the Homa, LA area on Mon. of this week. Always try to remember that WE could be the next ones affected. Thoughts & prayers will be all in the path of Ike.

Pray that Galveston doesn't take a direct hit. That city floods as badly as New Orleans.

Hopefully everyone in Galveston took the warning and got out.

Seems like 12,000 people stayed in Galveston. That's not a good thing. As I feared, this thing is going to hit Galveston directly.

The financial implications of this is pretty staggering but it is the life & death that could be avoided if people would just listen to the warnings. New Orleans, as ad as it was, will seem small compare the the damage that this storm could cause. Remember, 25% of US oil production comes from that bay.
