I just had to cancel the ocean-front site that we reserved 7 months in advance. We can't make it. It is now available for Friday and Saturday night. They'll make it available as walk-up only (no reservations) according to ReserveAmerica. It's site #60. I bet if you got there early on Friday it could be yours. It is one of the best and hardest to get sites, since there are only 4 ocean-front sites there.

I just called my SIL who is currently camping in site 104, at El Captian and is due to leave tomorrow, Friday.
She said thanks, but they already have reservations for tomorrow night at Pismo Beach.

just a suggestion. next time instead of canceling. Post it first. someone may want it and they can send you the money and you won't be out the $14.50 cancellation fee

I would've, but by the time I heard our friends weren't coming and my husband couldn't go I had 24 minutes to cancel or lose my money. I called a couple friends to see if they could use it and by the time they called me back I was down to 1minute and 23 seconds, so I pressed the button!
