Week of March 22nd, Sunday until Thursday, I'm going to be right at this very spot ~

I'll be going after a fish called "croppy" if they are biting ... if not, they are called "crappy". And they do eat so good! Hopefully we'll be cooking up a big batch of them right on the spot.

Easter Weekend!

Have some mercy on us Northern Folk.  I was out looking at the Taj MaHaul the other day, with ice around the tires and nose jack, and wet, crusty snow drifted two feet high in front of the nose, and reminded myself that spring is coming...in May.  :(

Austin, I'm from the Detroit area and we usually start camping around Easter.  Heck it was 67 degrees here a couple days ago. Thats probably why I have the fever so bad. Also Camping World was packed on Saturday when we went.. I  will most likely go  camping sometime before Easter.

Oh I got it bad too. As a matter of fact, I popped the pup a couple of weekends ago and slept in the backyard just because I can.

Should be camping for real in the next 2 to 3 weeks though. Oh by the way it 85 degrees here right now, with a nice breeze. Perfect for shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops.

We have the fever too.  We have a couple of trips planned in April but none for March.  My dh has been traveling too much to schedule anything right now.    So for now, I just go and sit in it and dream about our future trips.

Just drove up to Lake Tahoe today and it was gorgeous.  The snow was so beautiful.  I wanted to go get the camper and set it up.  But it was just a little too cold.

There are some beautiful campgrounds in Michigan.  Unfortunately, when we come and visit family (I'm from Royal Oak) it is too far to pull the trailer.:(.  Someday, we are gonna take 3 weeks vacation and do it.

Your right there are some very nice campgrounds in MI.  Some of them are..Ludington SP,Higgins Lake SP, Waterloo Rec. Area. etc. The farthest I have pulled my camper is Chickasaw SP in westen Tennessee {About 800 miles}  That was a nice campground BTW... It's where they filmed the original "Walking Tall"  Our first trip {Planned} is Lakeport SP by Port Huron, MI.  Then Sugarloaf SP, "Cheeseburger" in Caseville, And Riverview Camp in Sterling..  Can't wait!!

Then mothers day weekend going to Williamsburg KOA then the following Thursday going to the Pop-Portal Virginia Spring Rally at James River State Park that another guy and i are setting up. Alas... If only I had a trust fund and didn't have to work.  Then I could camp whenever I wanted.  Easter is our first of the year also and we cannot wait.  Sitting at home just bites!

One of my favorites as a kid was Lelenaw (sp?) up near Traverse City.  I was about 10 and my cousin and I spent the whole trip out playing in a row boat out on the penninsula.  Back then your parents weren't worried about letting the kids run all over.  As long as we were entertaining ourselfves they didn't care.   We also sat around the campfire spitting cherry pits at each other.  My aunts friend owned a cherry farm and we ate cherries till we were sick.  Man those were the good ole days.:D

We're taking my Pup and 2 toy haulers to the Oregon coast next weekend (21st) for some ATV riding on the beach.  :-()

Weather could be anything from sunny and 70 to cold, windy, and rainy... :eyecrazy:  Either way, it'll be a BLAST!  :tent:
