Well went camping last weekend with 3 kids and 3 dogs it was mom and dad forth camping trip and son first camping trip pyrenees/golden retrievers the dad weights about 125 lbs and mom about 90 lbs and son who not yet year old is about 75 lbs big dogs. had a lady and here family camping across from us ask me how i fit 3 kids and 3 dogs in my camper i told here there was a lot of room becouse mine has a slide out dinnet and two king size bed lot of room. ;) we camp at Big Bone Lick state park here in Kentucky.
We camp with 3 kids and 3 dogs also. It can be quite the challenge. Lucky for us our 3 dogs weigh together what one of yours does:p . We carry a wire exercise pen to corral the 3 of them. All 3 dogs and all 3 kids love to camp.
We had a large Coleman popup (non slide-out) originally but there just wasn't enough floor space for everyone. The hybrid is so much more comfy.

I can't top your dog count, but I have camped with 8, 2 adults and 6 teenagers, sleeping in my 10 foot box camper, that does not have any slides.:D
We went Sunday & Monday. Two families, 5 kids total. We had to board the 9 week old Yorkie Puppy though. She'll be with us on our next trip.

Ahhh, Big Bone is a great park. Been there a couple of times. Son #1 lives just 10 miles from there, so it's convenient if the grandson wants to camp too. Have you tried Kinkaid State park? It's a bit further to drive, but it is even nicer. Big spots, friendly people, quiet, and an awesome pool and view of the lake from the pool area,
Well, I can't say we exceed your holding power. No dogs, just two grown kids (18 & 20) and the occasional grandkid. However, with all the stuff the youngest (daughter) brings though, we might just exceed the weight you carry!
Up into Ohio, you might try Winton Woods or Little Miami county parks (Hamilton Co). Price is right, lots to do for the kids, fishing, close to shopping. As much as Winton can at times find you next to a couple of kids camping, who typically set up a tent just before dark then head to the closest bar to get drunk and return about 1 AM to drink some more with their loud rap crap music blasting. The park patrol is great about not letting that happen for long, most times anyway. Had one time that the neighbor called the patrol, who failed to respond. After a couple of LOUD fireworks went off though, they were there quickly. (the neighbor did those) All was quiet after that. The most fun of this was waking up early and making lots of noise to clear out the deadbeats. They emerged holding their heads, nursing the hangover they had, and were gone in minutes.
You have Winton pegged. It's a bit tight at times, too. That said, it's 15 minutes from home, so convenient and with two small children, it's nice to have plenty to do. It's just nice to have "park" campgrounds that close. We tend to prefer some of the area state parks, though. We hit Cowen Lake late last season and loved it. We'll be back there a couple times this year. Will probably hit East Fork at some point, too.
