I have a 2001 Starcraft popup that we sold to my sister-in-law. I was fixing a few things for her and noticed that the momentary switch for the thermostat, going to the furnace, was broken. Tried to remove it and it completely fell apart. Any idea where I can find a new one? Tried local Starcraft dealer, other local dealers, big box stores, Radio Shack, and auto parts store, but I can't find the part. I can buy one on the net, but I need one sooner than it can get to me. The part is V-10G4-1C25-K. PLEASE HELP!!!!
More than likely you can use a cheap thermostat from Home Depot or Lowe's.
Doesn't have to be an exact match, just wired up correctly.

If it needs a thermostat, can a household one work? Or does it need to be a 12 volt rated one like Atwood sells?

The thermostat works perfectly. It's the switch that sits under the swing up galley. Once in place, the switch makes contact with the counter and closes allowing the furnace to now be used. It's the whole safety thing. If you forget to shut off the furnace before packing up, the switch opens once the galley is folded down. It's a small little thing, but I can't find the replacement anywhere nearby.
Oh that switch.
By-pass it, turn the t-stat's on/off switch "off" and let your SIL know what you've done and how to use the furnace if she needs to.
Meanwhile contact StarcraftRV via telephone and get one ordered and on the way.
Man, I have found that these switches are called all kinds of things. Some call then a momentary switch because the switch will normally be in one position (on/off) and momentarily in the opposite position. A perfect example is a refridgerator light. Normally on when open, but momentarily off when closed. Also called a roller switch or snap action basic switch. The switch I need is the opposite of this. Normally off, but momentarily on.

NAPA Auto Parts stores have a good selection of switches, including the momentary "on" version.

A heavyduty doorbell button works great for this.
If you can't get a replacement for the original switch - then best switches I've found for the gallery switch is a automotive starter switch with two poles. Note the switch needs to be 12 volt rated and able to cope with the weight of the gallery on the switch.

It's just a plaine old spdt micro switch rated @ 10 amps, its wired in series on 1 leg of the T stat as a safety shutoff when the gallies down. Its normally open, so any micro switch would work, there used alot on appliances.
