Title: Thinkin' about another mod
Post by: Topflight on Aug 21, 2009, 01:17 PM
We have the power lift on our 2008 Flagstaff 625D.
I've bumped the switch for the winch a couple of times when working around the battery compartment.  Fortunatly, when I bumped it, it was pushed down, not up, and only for a fraction of a second.:yikes:  It got me to thinking, if this switch is always hot, what's to stop some curious child from flicking the switch when it's parked in the garage with the top down and latched (I know my grandchildren)? Somethings going to break.
I thought maybe another momentary switch in series that had to be held up while operating the main Up/Down switch would prevent any accidental operation and possible damage.
Anyone else thought about this or made a mod to the lift switch?

Doesn't flagstaff have a battery disconnect, that would solve the whole problem, not only that but your LP detector would be drawing power all the time and run down the battery.

Get a Battery cutoff (//%22http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=92688%22) switch and just pull out handle when you don't want anyone to turn it. ;)
