Title: Running Lights, but no brakes or turn signals
Post by: beanes71 on Oct 07, 2009, 12:52 PM
I have a 2002 Coleman Utah.  When plugging up to the tow vehicle, I noticed that the lights came on, but that I was without brakes or turn signals.  Both brake and turn lights work on the tow vehicle, so where could the problem be.  I'm not very mechanically inclined, so any help would be appreciated!!

what is your Tow vehicle?  I had a similar problem, turned out it was a inline fuse for the trailer wiring harness...

well not the same TV but I would still check to see if there is a fuse on the wiring harness on the TV.  Also check all the grounds for the trail lights for the trailer.

I cleaned the contacts for the plug and receptacle and now have everything but a right turn signal.  That more than likely is a fuse, right?

could be a ground for that plug, check to see if there is a ground wire going from that taillight to the chassis of the trailer.  If its just ONE light, one side, probaly not a fuse

Swap the bulbs (left & right); if the problem moves, it's the bulb.
