Does anyone have any special Christmas Traditions?
We go to my family get together on Christmas Eve. Kids get new pj's that night. Christmas morning we wake the kids about 4 or 5 am and let them get Santa and open presents. We eat breakfast together and stay in our pj's all day long and just be together that day. Visitors are welcome but we stay home. We go to my mother-in-law's when they choose the date.
I love Christmas time so much, I wish I could spend time with my family like this all the time.
Christmas morning we get up around 7:00am and we open gifts. Around 10;00am our family and friends start showing up and while everyone exchanges gifts i'm busy cooking my version of Xmas Brunch. I make homemade refried beans, huevos rancheros with chopped bacon in the sauce, homemade flour tortillas, my killer sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit bowl and eggs anyway you want them. I also grill either marinated N.Y or tenderloin steaks. We like doing brunch instead of Xmas dinner. Everyone seems to enjoy it also, i would hate for someone to go home hungry.........this is what we do..........Ed C.:frosty:
