I'm the father of 2 teen drivers and next year, it will be 3...:eyecrazy:
I was sent the link below from a friend with his own teen driver. Good video to show the kids or anyone with a texting problem.
Just thought I would pass it on.

WOW
I plan on having all of ours kids see this one
Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for sharing that....I just sent it to all my kids and grandkids as follows:
This video is long but extremely important. If you love your family as much as your family loves you, you will watch this entire video. PLEASE NO NOT underestimate it's significance. This might be the most important video that you have ever seen.

You're welcome! I don't pass along a whole lot but I thought that was pretty important.
My HS Senior complained when I made him sit down to watch a 15 minute video. When it was over, he stood up and gave me a hug.
What a heart breaker....

My 35-year-old son made the statement, about a week ago, "Oh...I have no problem texting & driving....I can multi-task" :yikes: and he was dead serious..... I could have hit him in the side of the head with a board.
Unfortunately, way too many people feel exactly the same way. They can see that others have a problem doing it but they think that they are somehow superior.
I once had an uncle that was an alcoholic. He once bragged that he was a better driver when he was drinking then when he wasn't drinking. He ended up wrapped around a tree. They couldn't even ID the body except for his dental records.
This stuff really makes me angry :swear: because my mother was killed by a drunk driver when I was 10-years-old and this texting is worse....by far....than drinking and driving (to a point).
All teens and anyone who texts while driving should watch that.
While I was sitting in the ER the other day (took my mother there, she is ok now) the EMTs were having a conversation, I was listening (yes I'm nosy) and the one stated 90% of auto accidents they respond to are cell phone related. It seems the ones who cause the accidents are not the ones with the worst injuries or death.

I wouldn't put a lot of faith in their analysis. If it were true that 90% were cell phone related, then we would have seen a ten-fold increase in the number of accidents in the last 15 years. That has not happened.
Nevertheless, texting is like drunk driving...the last person to know they are unable to do so is the driver. :eyecrazy:

Wow! What an emotional video, thanks for sharing. I'll share one too; I found this one on YouTube a few months ago and promptly showed it to an 18 year old cousin who is BAD to text while driving. It scared the bejeebus out of her, which is exactly what I had hoped for ;) It's a British PSA, and it is VERY graphic so don't watch around small children:

That's really good. Apparently it is just 5 minutes of a 30 minute video. Thanks.
