Title: James Bay/Trans Taiga
Post by: Jim K in PA on Mar 26, 2010, 07:52 AM
Been a while since anyone posted in this section, so I thought I would ask a question.  I searched and found nothing about the James Bay Road or Trans Taiga Road.  Has anyone camped along these stretches of Ontario?  Setting aside the Eco-political issues of what Hydro-Quebec is doing up there, we would like to take a trip up to explore the routes.  We would also love to get "off-highway" on some trails, if any exist.

Thanks for any input.

If you are still looking, you can try this site: http://www.jamesbayroad.com/travel/intro.html that area is pretty tricky to navigate and isn't really child friendly :)

Thanks Shinobi.  I have explored that site quite a bit.  I doubt we would take the boys with us.  They are getting pretty big, and busy with a lot of their own activities.  This trip is something for DW and I to do to explore that part of Canada.  I was just hoping someone had traveled the main roads and found some interesting stops or camping areas to check out.
