The water connection on the back side of my shower seeps water no matter how tight I tighten it or even if I use teflon tape. Not a huge leak just annoying that I can't make it stop. It already ruined the board games I had stored under the seat where the connections are. It's a 2004 Fleetwood Utah. Is there something other than teflon tape I can use on the threads to help seal it? It's just on the cold water side. Thanks.
Hi Big... Welcome to PUT. I'm not familiar with your specific problem, however, is it possible there is a missing gasket or o-ring? Or, perhaps, the plastic connection is cracked? Sometimes, if you try to tighten those plastic connectors too tight it will cause a crack, that when disconnected you can't see. You might try disconnecting the union, then try to bent the male threaded end around and carefully examine around the base of the threads, as you're applying side pressure to the threads with your thumb, looking for any small hairline cracks. This just happened to me with a cheapo garden pump sprayer that was leaking all over my hand when I pumped the tank up to spray.

The water line has a kind of round gasket in the end that should mate with the backside of the shower. The leak is very slow. I'll have to try and take a closer look to see if it's a crack in the shower fitting. If need be, I can replace that whole shower assembly, right?
Yessiree - the handheld shower head can be disconnected from the hose and replaced with a new one, if need be. They're inexpensive enough that they're not worth trying to repair, unless you're out in the boonies. Any RV/trailer supply place should carry them. You might even find it at WallyMart.

Talking about replacing the whole shower faucet assembly, hoses and all. Just have to figure out where those hoses go and disconnect them. This is my first camper so I'm kind of learning on the fly.
Trying a different thread sealer compound. If that doesn't work, we'll try silicone caulk/sealer. If THAT doesn't work we replace the shower assembly and hoses. I did a careful inspection and I can't see any reason for the leak. It's got to be something too small for me to see.
Replaced the shower faucet assy. No leaks now. I'm thinking at some point in the past it was not winterized properly and got some hairline cracks in the plastic fittings. Time to go camping!!!
