roof, I would try an automotive sap remover.  Although mine isn't an ABS roof, I am sure it would be fine.  Not sure for the canvas...

Alcohol hand sanitizer works great on tree sap.  I always have some readily available for personal use.  I make it a point to check for sap and clean-it before leaving camp site.

TRy A product called 'GOO GONE' first - unlike WD 40 and alchohol solvents, it can't damage the canvas, vinyl, or ABS plastic.  if it doesn't work, then try the other stuff.  it is a citrus based product, not 'chemical' and not as oily as WD 40, so it probably won't stain the canvas like oily WD 40 would.  or at least, you can wash out the Goo gone with a bit of soap and water, if it does leave a bit of oily stain on the fabric.  Alchohol can eat the fabric and can cause it to work with the sun to disintigrate it after awhile.  So go easy on anything you use on canvas or vinyl fabrics!

You can get Goo Gone at any home improvement store, hardware or grocery store where they have cleaning supplies.
