Title: Father's Day camping
Post by: 4Campers on Jun 19, 2022, 03:15 PM
Camped on Father's Day weekend next to our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. It had been in the 90's and muggy all week but the weekend weather was beautiful 70's and sunny. We were at Winton Woods campground, which is a county owned park in the middle of Cincinnati. Winton Lake surrounds the CG, but there are only a few access points. Pretty quiet being in the city, except for the drunks who want to party all night. We ended up having to call the Ranger at 1:30 AM Saturday morning to get to sleep.

We talked about going for Father's Day, but things are bit tight at the moment so we are planning our first trip for the 4th of July.

4Campers, what is on the front of your camper is that a vinyl decal?

Hanging on the front is a wooden sign our daughter had made for us.
In the window are PUX and Camping Rules.

We spent the weekend over by Meinert Park along Lake Michigan. It wasn't our original plan. We were planning to go up to Grand Marais along Lake Superior, but some issues on my project at work would not allow me to take off Wednesday so I only had Friday through Sunday. Grand Marais is more than a five hour drive, Meinert Park is over an hour so the gas savings didn't hurt. It was a pleasant weekend anyway.
