Title: I m no longer Pop-Upless! Yippee
Post by: Camping Coxes on Sep 28, 2003, 07:05 PM
Hooray!  After selling my Rockwood in December and being Pop-upless for all these almost two months, today my husband and I purchased a  98 Coleman Sun Ridge.  Other than being a little dirty on the inside (nothing a little elbow grease didn t fix), it s in great condition!  We re looking forward to having the extra room (Rockwood was 8  and cramped) and breaking in this camper.  The people we bought it from bought it for a specific trip, the husband didn t want it, and now the wife has talked him into a full-sized trailer.  Goody for me.  They even had AC installed, and a NEW roof (not alumitite, though).

Only problem we need to remedy right away is the hideous curtains in the  98 model.  Sorry if I offend anyone who likes the color, but that rusty maroon just isn t doing it for me!  I m going to look into updating with the 2003 green curtains.  Oh, another problem -- DH and I want to add a stereo unit (any advice is welcome!) and buy the fan lights and the bunk end storage shelf thingies and the sink cutting board and...... does it ever end?????

Camping CoxesCongratulations, Trina! From an 8-footer to a 12-footer, that s a big jump. You re gunna love having two king beds, and that front truck is a godsend. It s great that you can access the fridge with the top down too. And no, the deschniztificating never ends: you ve just been infected with the " sick pop-up owner syndrome" . (hehehe-- the fun is just beginning)

Well Dave, I ve heard men are a little color blind, but I would really have to stretch my imagination to call it anything close to purple.  Mine are more of a rust color.  The elastic is stretched out, so they re kind of sagging.  I called the dealer today and it s going to cost $262 (with tax) for new ones.  Guess I ll live with these a few weeks.  With the clips on the way they are, I don t want to try to make new ones.  I sew, but this would be too time consuming to try to do.

I know when my sister was in an accident with her brand new, never before used, Jayco and it was totaled, things like the mattresses, cushions, curtains, sink, etc. were still in new condition.  Is there an outlet to buy used stuff like that?  That s what I need -- someone s misfortune that I can scavenge from!!!  Anyone have any used Coleman Fan-Lites and Bed Shelves for sale?
