campfogNot sure on the size but I replaced mine with cording from West Marine.  They had a variety of sizes and I just took a little of the old with me to size.  It was in the sailing section.

 Good luck.

campfogYou can also buy it by the foot at several on line retailers.

One that I have dealt with a lot in the past is [link=http://www.campmor.com/webapp/commerce/command/CategoryDisplay?cgrfnbr=7088&cgmenbr=226]CAMPMOR.COM[/link].  That link will go directly to the bungee page.

campfogA Coleman dealer will have the bungee too.  You could check Lowe s or Home Depot I have seen it at home improvement stores.
Title: What size and how much bungee anyway?

campfogI have a 12 foot Coleman box with 2 king beds.  I need to replace the bungee on one end. Does anyone know what size bungee is standard with Coleman?  How many feet of bungee is necessary for each bunk end?

campfogIf you remove the bungee on the bunk and take it with you to the store you can check the size and how much bungee material you will need.

campfogI will have to order on-line.  The stores here don t seem to have bungee cord.  I did not want to take my PU out of storage to open it up to see what size it was.  I hoped someone here could supply some info since I know several have had to replace their cords.

campfogI cannot remember for sure how many feet we purchased, but I THINK we bought 3/8"  diameter and 28 , and had some left over.  We purchase ours at West Marine. It has been a couple of years.  You could email Coleman and I am sure that they will tell you the diameter and the length that you need.  We straightened a coat hanger and taped the end of the bungee to that and threaded it through.  It was a snap.  When we got to the end we  tied a knot and then reinforced that with double cable ties.  Coleman has always answered me quite promply.

campfogI had to replace mine on the queen bed on our camper about the third year we had it. I got my replacement bungee from my Coleman dealer. It really wasn t overly expensive and was not that bad of a job replacing. I don t remember the exact price I paid for it though. The dealer told me that it is the same bungee for either bunk on mine - the queen or the full size one. To replace mine I just cranked the top up about 1/2 way and slide the bed out and supported it as usual when setting up. Then I used the bed as a work table to lay the tenting out so I could install the new bungee.
