Going to look at a 2005 Niagara with A/C and screen room tomorrow, if it doesn't sell first. If you could tell me any good or bad info about the 2005 Niagara. I would be greatful. also their asking 10,000.

Thank you,

P.S Wife would like to know what style toilet this year model has and does it have a black water tank or a potty that has to be emptied seperate.

Shepherd

We have the '05 Niagara and love it.  It is amazingly spacious and as you know, has the hardwalled shower/toilet.  The toilet has a black water tank that you pull out from the (out)side of the unit.  An arm swings away from the tank which un-caps and then you stick the swing arm into the dump station drain pipe.  Very clean and easy.  We only use the toilet at night to save having to dump it regularly.  Usually we only have to dump it as we leave the campground,  even on five night trips.

The slide out dinette gives the whole family plenty of room in the pup and makes it spacious as I said above.  We actually like the hardwalled shower as a place to store our towels as they dry, and we keep a trash can on the floor of the shower during the day. Keeps it out of sight but easy to get too.  I just take the trash to the dumpster at night so we can use the toilet.

The unit doesn't have a gray water tank built in so you need some kind of portable tank to place under the sink drain in front and the shower drain on the rear of the pup.  There is a mod out there where you have both drains feeding into one tote, but since we don't use the shower, I haven't done it.  I just throw a 22 gal Barker tote under the front of it to collect the sink water.

My wife loves that it has a microwave. She is a vegan and uses it to cook all her Boca burgers and other protein sources.  She wouldn't think of letting me put the boca burger on the outside grill with the rest of the animal flesh.  :)

The furnace does a fantastic job keeping the pup warm when a ceramic heater just won't keep up with the cold Colorado nights.  Our first few nights camping in it were in the mid 20's and everyone was very warm.

Prices vary regionally, but I would say anywhere from 9 to 11 thousand would be fair if it was in really great shape.  Ours was N2U and had only been used four times so was like new inside.  If yours is the same and  you can't get them down below ten, if you are happy with the deal, then it is a good deal.

We have an '05 Niagara.  LOVE it.  It has the cassettee potty.  IMHO it is much easier to deal with than the black water tank.  1) If you don't camp with a sewer hook-up you can empty without breaking camp or dumping into a blue tote, 2) you can fill the supply water separately from the rest of the water system - easier if you camp w/out water hook up.

I would go to //www.nada.com & check the value of the camper.  Also, the usual cautions about water damage, roof integrity, etc, etc that you would look at with any camper.

We had an 05 Niagara and loved it.  It was spacious and wonderful counterspace.  We LOVED the hard-sided shower and potty combination.  Our Niagara had the CP no black water storage.  It was great to have 2 king sized beds and the dinette in the slide.   We sold it because we needed more dinette seating (we are a family of 5) and because we were planning on going on long trips, we needed to get into the potty during our journey.

If you are lucky enough to purchase this trailer, you will have many years of fun.
