I was supposed to take the Bantam to get the Maxxair vent covers, bearings done and the prodigy put in on Wednesday.  But with 2  of snow on the groung, I am only now recognicing the Jayco burried under a drift and still cannot get the Bantam out (cannot get the gate open because we still have about 8"  of snow that has not melted even though the weather has been warm and more snow predicted for tomorrow afternoon.  I really wanted to be abe to brag on the prodigy but that will just have to wait.

Looks like SPring brake may be cancelled this year, because the kids missed so much school and winter is not yet over...curse that ground hog for seeing his shadow.
hope that it is clear enough for our mini-rally at Elmer NJ in April or that the snow has melted to get the camper out for the rally in June.  We are not used to all this white stuff in DE.

 SheBantamPaula,
My kids had to go to school this past Saturday to make up one of the sleet days and they have gone from 6 spring/Easter break days to 2. But we will pull them one of the days as we are headed to Myrtle Beach Easter weekend and have reservations for that Thursday that were made before all this ice and snow we have had.
Saturday the kids were on Tornado alert as that front pushed throught NC. Had some high shear winds down towards the state zoo about 45 miles from home. So all the schools went on the tornado drill just as they were supposed to get out at noon.
We have had two weekends in a row with severe weather. Had over 2 inches of rain just saturday. With the kids going to school and the threat of bad weather I did not even go to race at Rockingham.. But Iwatched on TV from the comfort of my house.. this was ok  but being there camping might have been better if the weather was OK..

SheBantamWe have had very little snow this winter but the cold weather has caused us to eliminate our winter camping completely.  We  count on Michigan having several spells of " warm"  weather with the day temperature in the 40s and 50s and we can go camping.  This year we have had very few days in the 30s and the nights have been very cold. The temperature is 1 degree now. Camping has been postponed until spring arrives. No children at home so our vacations are no longer effected by school. We had several robins at our bird feeder yesterday so they think spring has arrived

well, Opie, you know what they say about the size of a bird;s brain and I guess this proves it.

Our winter here hasnt been  nealry as cold as Michigan or Pa but it has sure been unusually unpleasant.  We had another tonado watch the other night.  Today we are expecting sleet.  I think I want to find some place warm and sunny with low humidity and go there for awhile to thaw out.
