I went to the Maryland RV show in Timonium, MD today. I was interested in the Jayco Qwest series and found one. The sales person said that the prices were only good at the show, and they threw in an A/C. I tried to get a screen room but they said NO. Also, there was 0% financing but I noticed that this was offered through Jayco. I did not accept their price. Can anyone tell me if the deals at these shows are good ones or can one do better going to the dealer and negotiating?

Turn Key

Joe BuskirkTry going back the last day of the show and making another offer.  Dealers don t like to haul back show units[: (].

Also, if you intend to borrow to make this purchase, try to have the finacing set up through a credit union.  These often give better rates and it give you the opportunity to wave cash under the dealers nose (another good incentive for them to take your offer[;)]).

 Good luck and happy camping!

Joe BuskirkWe bought our jayco Eagle10sg at a show is 1999 and saved around $700.00 from the dealer price.  don t kow if I could have done better at the dealer, but I only put $20.00 down to hold the price.  Then borrowed the rest from my credit union. HTH

Gamecock Camper

Joe Buskirkcampingcop, it looks like you did ok.  The Jayco Quest 10v was our first camper, and quite a fine one at that.  I am sure you will like it and find that it has a very friendly floorplan, is very easily towed, and has a pretty good build quality.  Good luck with it, congratulations, and happy camping.

Joe BuskirkOur Coleman Santa Fe was an RV show model and we got some great incentives for purchasing it. I guess it depends on the dealer, model and what discounts the manufacturer is allowing the dealer.
