Popped in Target for a couple of things and had to check out the camping section.  The shelves are fully stocked and getting ready for camping season.  Igloo 5-day coolers are $19.99--same price as at Sams.  Also like the Coleman cookware set--stockpot, saucepan with lid, frying pan with removable handle and non-stick surfaces.  With the handle taken off all nest togther in a compact space.  I think the 3-piece set was $29.

Dee, there  might be  another way of looking at this post by Fetch and it is that PUT members are always looking for new camping equipment information, and in the General Camping forum is not a bad place to do that.  Notice how many questions there have been here about AAR s and dining canopies and BAL levelers lately.  I dont  go to the bargain hunter forum as often as I check here, so I was glad to get this heads-up about Target having their stuff out for the new season.  Also at 29.95, the Target-Coleman  cookset doesnt sound like a cut-rate price so it might not fit into the bargain forum category pricewise .

But maybe considering the price of the Igloo cooler, this information belongs both here  AND  at Bargain Hunters Paradise

wssfetchBargain Hunters Emporium (I don t think so)?  I rarely go to that section and was glad to hear about the camping products at Target!

 wssfetchNightOwl,

The cooler is a bargain. I have one I got last year and one bag of ice really does last 4-5 days!

The Coleman cookware is not cheap, but is well made, sturdy but lightweight, and I like that fact that when you remove the handles, everything nests neatly into the stockpot. Real plus for limited space in a pop galley.  What would be really nice would be if they had a nylon storage case.  I have a nice stainless percolator (Wentzel) with four insulated stainless mugs that I got at Sams.  Fits into a padded nylon zip case that stows in a cabinet in the camper. Sams originally had the set for $39 but I waited until they dropped the price to $9.99.  And then it really was a bargain!

Sandy (Welshie) glad to see you back!

wssfetchI found the Coleman Family Cookset on Target s website for only $19.99.  (Now, that sounds like a bargain, but I m glad you posted on here!)  I didn t buy it because I ve got a ton of other stuff to buy and the shipping would be outrageous, but I plan to go as soon as it thaws out here!  I hope it doesn t cost more in the store here -- do you think there s a difference from city to city?

wssfetchLet s see we made the rounds tonight and Target, Kmart, Wally world, BJ s and Sam s all had the seasonal shelves full; not to mention all the drug stores as well. Got a good look at the Coleman Drip coffee maker. Now there s something that IMHO is really a good addition to a camper. Several places had ice chests labeled as 5 dayer s that didn t have the thicker walls of the Extreme or Igloo Ultra, so watch what you buy.

wssfetchI went there last week and found a camping chair with  foot rest/table (? had cupholders) in a travel bag for $8.00!  Great deal, esp. since our little guys are growing out of the tot chairs!

Camping Coxes

wssfetchI don t know if this Coleman cookware set is the same I got a few years ago, but after one outing the nonstick was flaking off and I was generally dissatisfied with it.  I do better checking the clearance section of stores and getting what I need piecemeal.  Besides, we don t need a full kitchen set of stuff to camp.  I have a saucepan, two frying pans, and a medium stock pot.  Oh, yeah.  I have a kettle for heating up water too, but now with my new trailer, I probably won t need it since it was a WH.

wssfetchTrina, thanks for the heads up on the cookware. I didn t buy any because I already have all I need for the camper.

Target carries the Waverly Garden Room line of linens and accessories.  Since my camper is MINE and not the DH s, I stocked her with bed linens, towels, rugs, throw pillows, table clothes, etc. in Waverly florals. A " girlie"  camper!   Earlier this week I picked up four nice placemats for the picnic table, on sale.  They are the sort of plasticized fabric that you can wipe down.  Looks like all the Waverly stuff is on sale right now.
