I ve been browsing both of these sites while planning Road Trip 2003.  I thought I remembered people having problems with one or the other, but can t find anything by searching (of course![: (])
Can anybody enlighten me?  Is one better than the other?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

KellyActually both of them along with Ticketron are all parts of the same corporation.

KellyWe had major Reserve America problems last year. When they changed their website, my login would no longer work. All my reservations were wiped out, and, even though they were paid for on a credit card and I had the reservation number issued by RA, the sites showed open. It was weeks of daily calls to ensure that those sites were reserved by us and were availbale to us when we arrived.

So far, this year, things seem ok. I have made copies of all my reservations and the numbers.

KellyWe also had a LOT of problems with them.  Every year we go to Wells State Park with friends.  Since you can t pay over the phone any other way except credit card and our friends are really nervous of that, we pay for both sites, then they pay us back.  Well, Reserve America won t let you use the same card for multiple sites.  [:@]  Sounds strange, but it s true.  They called us back and denied our card!  No good explination why, just wanted a new card.  Yuck!  Oh well - not impossible, just seems like they would try to make it easier for folks.

KellyI haven t had any problems with ReserveAmerica yet! (Knocking on wood!) I reserved two sites with one credit card this year, for the first time, at Mohawk Trail State Forest. I did, however, book them under the two names rather than both under mine. AND they did call to confirm the number! Maybe while I m online, I ll go double check!

 KellyKelly,

Since Wisconsin State Parks went to on line reservations about four or five years ago Reserve America  has worked.  Because Murphy s law is always with us, we keep and bring copies of the confirmations.  Seems to me Reserve America covers at least some of the National Park camp grounds too.

 Anyway, have a great trip.

KellyI ve been using them for five years now, without any problems at all (and we make 12+ reservations with them a year).

Reserve America gets big thumbs up from us!

KellyI ve used them countless times (including today) and have never had a problem.  Sorry to hear about others having trouble.
I usually use both " America"  & " USA"  over the internet, but instead called by phone today and talked with an incredibly helpful woman at " USA" .  Reserved 2 camp sites next to each other for a trip in August.  Put both in my name with the same credit card.  Checked e-mail a few minutes ago and had confirmations for each camp site.

Kellyit s really good to hear this, hopefully we won t have any problems this year!  By the sounds of things,  I better get going reserving sites!!

KellyI only use them to check availability of sites, and even that is not 100% accurate. After I find that sites are available, I either call or email the Parks & Wildlife Dept. to make my reservations. That way, I don t pay the fees that RA charges. Also, since RA is owned by TicketMaster, well, lets just not go there OK........
